Visit by Delegates of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of the Government of the Macau Special Administrative Region

On 27 January 2011, eight delegates of the Macau Civil and Municipal Affairs Bureau, headed by Mr. NG Peng-in, Member of the Administration Committee of the Bureau visited EPD with a view to knowing more about EPD¡¦s partnership programme with the vehicle repair workshop trade and the operation of the trade.

The delegates were welcome by EPD¡¦s Assistant Director, Mr. K.F. Tang and his colleagues at the Compliance Assistance Centre, Southorn Centre. EPD colleagues then presented to the delegates information on Hong Kong¡¦s environmental legislations, the operation of the Compliance Assistance Centre, partnership programme with the vehicle repair workshop trade, and common pollution problems of the trade and possible solutions.
The delegates, accompanied by EPD colleagues, visited a vehicle repair workshop in Kowloon Bay, the Pro-Act Training and Development Centre (Automobile), and the paint spraying workshop of a major car dealer. During the visits, the delegates had extensive discussions and change of views with the hosts.
